When you connect a provider API key (OpenAI, Google, xAI, fal.ai, etc.), generations on that provider route through your account and get billed by the provider directly. Votocon deducts 0 VTU for those runs. You can mix BYOK and VTU freely per provider.
Yes. fal.ai is BYOK-only — you must connect your own fal key to run the 58 models it hosts (Kling, Seedance, Recraft, and others). Most other providers have a platform fallback, so generations work even without your key.
Failed generations are refunded automatically. The VTU that was reserved for the job returns to your balance within seconds. You only pay for successful output.
Yes. Cancel from your account settings and the subscription ends at the close of the current billing period. VTU already credited stays on your balance and does not expire.
