Votocon Ltd is the data controller. We only share data with providers we need to run the service — never with advertisers, never for sale.

2. Data We Collect

Your phone number, profile basics, the content and prompts you send, basic usage and device signals, and payment metadata through Stripe.

Account information: phone number, display name, profile picture
Content you create and upload (images, videos, text)
Prompts and instructions sent to Ares-II for content generation
Usage data: pages visited, features used, interactions, device and browser information
Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details)
Cookies for authentication, preferences, and analytics

3. How We Use Your Data

To run the product, personalise the feed, send account notices, fight abuse, and improve the service in anonymised form. Not for advertising.

To provide the platform and process AI generation requests
To personalize your feed and content recommendations
To communicate important account and service updates
To prevent abuse, enforce terms, and maintain platform security
To improve our services through anonymized usage analytics

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We share only what providers need: prompts go to AI model providers for generation, payment data goes to Stripe, and anonymised usage signals go to analytics.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:

AI model providers: your prompts and reference images are sent to these providers for content generation
Payment processor (Stripe): for handling transactions
Analytics providers: anonymized usage data only

All providers are bound by data processing agreements.

5. WhatsApp Verification

Your phone number is your identity here. OTPs go through WhatsApp Business API for sign-in and account/security alerts — never marketing.

When you sign up or log in via WhatsApp OTP, your phone number is processed for account verification. OTP messages are delivered through WhatsApp Business API. Phone numbers are stored as account identifiers. We do not send marketing messages to your WhatsApp.

6. Data Storage and Security

Hosted on encrypted cloud infrastructure — TLS in transit, encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted and audited.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Access, correct, delete, port, or object. Most are self-serve in settings — for the rest, email support and we'll handle it. If we fall short, you can complain to the ICO.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

Request deletion of your data
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

8. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and personal data is gone within 30 days — minus whatever we're legally obliged to keep.

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it. Generated content may persist in anonymized form for service improvement.

10. Changes

If anything material changes we'll tell you in-app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Votocon means you accept the update.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via platform notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
